Our PREEMPT Institute builds multidisciplinary teams to tackle fundamental challenges at the interface of our combined expertise using a Guided Self-Organizing Teaming Process (GSOTP; a teaming process that supports rapid self-organization, shared leadership, and empowered skill building for new and seasoned multidisciplinary teams), designed based on insights from research into the science of team science. In our first year, our Institute defined and tackled 5 initial questions (and we have begun work on another 2 that aren’t as far along yet). We are excited to share our ongoing progress on these efforts!
